Seeds of Compassion

Seeds of Compassion was an unprecedented gathering to engage the hearts and minds of our community by highlighting the vision, science, and programs of early social, emotional, and cognitive learning. Anchored by the deep wisdom of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, this community–focused event celebrated and explored the relationships, programs and tools that nurture and empower children, families and communities to be compassionate members of society.

Working with John Vadino of The Production Network, Bardo Industries was the Event Creative Director and Marketing Strategist. We created the overarching event theme – “What Does Compassion Look Like?™”, which was the cohesive thread throughout the five days of events. We led multiple youth-based initiatives, produced two benefit concerts and pre-concert dialogue featuring His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dave Matthews, and NBC correspondent Ann Curry. We co-coordinated six film crews on the ground to capture the experience, developed and created the compassion stories, staged 20+ art exhibits at venues across Washington State including Seattle Art Museum, Bellevue Art Museum and first Thursday. We oversaw the creative expression of over 100 artists and musicians.
